whenever i play with pottery, I find myself carving rainbows. I've loved rainbows since I was a little girl, who insisted on bringing her rainbow unicorn stuffy to the family photography session. in college, the rainbow pride flag became a symbol of expansive acceptance of myself and others. rainbows are all the beautiful qualities of our beings that only become apparent after the rain.
there was some breaking of the color, so please see the detail photos! regardless, i am delighted with how this piece turned out. the white satin interior is delicious to touch.
4.75″ tall by 3.5″ wide. because the outside of this piece is unglazed, it is not safe for food use.
